Tejas Parasher is the author of Radical Democracy in Modern Indian Political Thought (Cambridge 2023), the first study of a neglected tradition of participatory democracy in South Asia. His research interests lie in the relationship between empire, democracy, and constitutionalism within modern political and legal thought.

Luwei Ying studies international relations, with a focus on civil conflict and political violence, and quantitative political methodology. Specifically, her research examines how militant organizations propagate ideologies to mobilize, recruit, and exercise control over individual members and how these ideological strategies fit into the groups’ broader military agendas.
